Barça confirm that Araujo injured left calf in Espanyol draw
The defender was taken off at half time as Barça were held 2-2
Barcelona's dropped points against Espanyol on Sunday came with the added bad news of an injury to the defender Ronald Araujo.
Araujo started alongside Gerard Pique but had to be taken off at the break, with Eric Garcia, himself returning from injury, taking his place.
Barça later confirmed that Araujo had suffered a calf problem, which will set off alarm bells ahead of Thursday's Europ League tie with Napoli at Camp Nou.
"First team player Araujo has a problem in his left calf," the club said. "Further tests will confirm the severity of the injury."
