Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez did not have dinner with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba in the Catalan city this Monday.
SPORT have learned that the Barça boss was celebrating his 42nd birthday with his wife and some friends and coincided with the three players in the same restaurant by chance.
Both dinners took place at the Japanese restaurant Sushi 99 by Turo Parc in upper Barcelona, close to where Xavi is living.
It has to be pointed out that not only does Messi get on well with Busquets and Alba, who were by his side at all times during his Barça exit, but their respective partners have also maintained a warm relationship.
Gerard Pique, one of the other Barça captains from the same generation as Messi, Alba and Busquets, was not invited.
