The Catalans hope they will get permission to sign another attacker despite transfer window closing

Barcelona coach Quique Setien once again stressed that the club need to bring in a forward if they are granted permission to make a signing outside of the window.

Barca hope that they will be given the green light to bring in an extra body on an 'emergency' basis after losing Ousmane Dembele for the rest of the season. Luis Suarez is also out for another three months,

If they are, they would only be allowed to sign someone already registered in Spain or without a club, and Setien says they have discussed names already.

"If it's possible, we want a player that is versatile," the coach said in a press conference on Saturday. "But it's not easy because right now. The market is what it is and first of all, we would have to have authorisation for it to happen.

"We have a few names (...) but there are other conditions we have to assess and have in mind. In many cases, it doesn't depend on me, nor the club, but on different circumstances. It's obvious that we need someone to come in and help out."

SPORT previously revealed that Willian José, Lucas Perez, Loren Moron and Angel Rodriguez are on the shortlist to come in.
