Barça B's Marc Cardona set for up to eight weeks on the sideline

The forward made his first team debut recently but has now been struck with a hamstring problem

Barcelona B will be without Marc Cardona for between six and eight weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The striker was injued in the game against Espanyol B at the weekend.

Cardona, who debuted with the first team in the Copa del Rey against Hercules and played against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League, will be greatly missed by Gerard Lopez's team.

He has scored seven goals this season and is the top scorer for Barça B, followed by Dani Romera.

The injury arrives at the worst possible time given he was beginning to make strides under Luis Enrique, too.

"Three or four months ago, if someone told me all this would happen, I would have laughed at the person who said it. This is a dream," he said after his Champions League debut.

Now the youngster has to focus on recovering as quickly as possible and coming back stronger.
