Barça boss Valverde doesn't want to speak about injured Dembele

The coach was clear that it's an issue he'd prefer to ignore for now

Ousmane Dembele has been at the centre of the storm when it's come to Operation Neymar. His refusal to go on loan to Paris Saint-Germain seems to have been one of the keys to Barcelona failing to get a deal over the line for the Brazilian so far.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde was asked about Dembele in his pre-game press conference for the Osasuna game on Saturday and his answer was clear, albeit brief.

"Dembele's injured at the moment and we have to wait for him to recover," he said. "I'm not going to make any comment on Dembele."

The French forward injured his hamstring in the loss to Athletic Bilbao and is out for five weeks, until the end of September.

Another player implicated in the Neymar deal is Ivan Rakitic, and Valverde said: "We hope to count on him, there are still three days in the transfer window left, we will see what happens."
