Barca B captain Sergio Palencia moves closer to Bordeaux
The defender is negotiating a deal with the French club
Sergi Palencia’s future looks like it might be at Bordeaux. The Barcelona B captain, through his agents is negotiating a move to the French club.
Palencia would move on loan with an option to buy for Bordeaux, in theory so they would sign him at the end of the upcoming season.
Conversations between the defender and the club ae going well but there are still various aspects to work out. Of all the player's options, the French side are his best bet.
He was also wanted by Sporting Gijon and girona, as well as Nastic. In recent days some of those options fell away but Bordeaux's offer is firm. He did not play the friendly against Figueres given his proximity to moving away.
Palencia wants to leave after Barcelona signed Senegalese defender Moussa Wague, after his impressive World Cup campaign.
