The sporting department are satisfied with the squad but don't rule out another addition to the team if the circumstances are right

Barcelona haven't ruled out making another deal this summer. The sporting department is satisified with the squad they've produced so far although they won't rule out signing someone who could improve on what they currently have.

The names of Paul Pogba, Adrien Rabiot and Frenkie De Jong are on the table but none of those appear likely right now. The club are already working on deals to bring those three in next summer instead. That doesn't mean Barça won't sign somebody else though. However, any potential new arrival would need to tick three important requirements: be good, play beautiful football and come cheap. That is the only way Barça will get involved in the transfer market. The plan would be to secure deal in the way they did for Malcom and Arturo Vidal. Neither player's name appeared in the press and the negotiations took a matter of hours to conclude. As the transfer window comes to a close, there might be some last-minute deals available.

In the case that there are no more new additions, the club is content with how the summer has gone. For the first time in many years, Barça have sold well and fulfilled their promise to Ernesto Valverde by making the squad smaller. The only potential outgoing is that of Rafinha. Barça would prefer to sell the midfielder but at the moment none of the interested teams are willing to match their asking price.
