Barça apologise to Real Betis and Junior for their post-match tweet
Following the 5-2 victory, the official Barça twitter account posted an image of Junior waving to fans as if he was mocking the fact Betis conceded five goals
FC Barcelona's official Twitter account as apologised for a tweet which caused a lot of anger from Real Betis fans. The image was of Junior Firpo waving to the cameras but the caption took aim at Betis for conceding five goals. It also didn't reflect well on Junior Firpo who obviously has a lot of respect for his former side.
. @FCBarcelona wish to sincerely apologise for any offence caused to Real Betis and their supporters regarding a tweet sent out on Sunday evening. No disrespect was intended, but we were wrong to publish it on a night that was very special for Junior.https://t.co/JyvRDw7cuQ
