Barça's number 10 is excited and motivated for this new season, shares his thoughs about the new team and his fitness

FC Barcelona striker, Ansu Fati, assured fans that he is confident of returning to his best version, in an interview for TV3. "I am working hard to achieve it and I do not doubt that with hard work and sacrifices, I will get there," the youngster said.

The canterano's last season was maimed with lots of injuries and physical problems. Regarding his current fitness:

"Right now I'm not at 100 per cent, but I'm very close".

The young Culé recognizes that he has to be cautious to not suffer a relapse, at the same time acknowledging that there is no lingering fear:

"It is normal that when you return from an injury you start playing with a lot of caution. But I would say that it's just the first few minutes of the first game. Then you forget about it. Right now I'm playing without fear," he said.

Asked about a hypothetical retirement due to his constant setbacks, the player was dismissive:

"I know where I come from and everything I've done to be here. I have never thought about quitting. I am very young and I have the whole future in front of me".

Regarding the preseason so far with the new look squad:

"We are building a very good team, very competitive. The new signings will give us a lot during the season. They are great players who will help us," he said.

And regarding the team's quest for titles:

"It is a team that wants to win titles. We know that in recent years we have only won the Copa del Rey, and that's unacceptable at Barça".

Questioned about facing competition for his place in the eleven, the striker acknowledged that this is a great way for players to push each other:

"We have a very powerful striker and we will have a lot of competition. This is very good for the team and for the players, who are not going to relax. We know that if you don't work well, you won't play, because there will be another player who can play in your place." "This is good because it will always keep us on our toes," he said.
