The Manchester City coach will bring his side to Barcelona for a friendly match

Pep Guardiola will return to Camp Nou with Manchester City this summer.

At first it seemed as if Barcelona would take on the English champions in the Joan Gamper Trophy, although that won't be the case in the end. The two teams will meet in a standard friendly.

The money raised from the game at Camp Nou will go towards research into Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), which former Barça player and coach Juan Carlos Unzue has.

RAC1 report that there is now a game for Guardiola's visit to Camp Nou, where he was a player and a coach. It will be in August 19.

The two clubs, meanwhile, have been in talks over a number of potential swap deals this summer, with Sergi Roberto, Ousmane Dembele, Bernardo Silva and Joao Cancelo's names all on the table.

City won the Premier League and the League Cup last season but lost the Champions League final to Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea.
