Aubameyang postpones contract talks with Arsenal, waiting for Barça

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has still not renewed his contract with Arsenal because he's waiting on Barcelona. The Gabon striker, who has a deal until 2021, knows of the Catalan club's interest and before making a decision he wants to see how serious they are. 

The English press revealed this week that Arsenal, who want to tie him down to longer terms, opened negotiations over a renewal at the start of the season. The problem -- unexpected for the Gunners -- is that the former Borussia Dortmund man has taken his time to look over the offer and has not accepted the invitation to extend. 

The official version is that Aubameyang is waiting to see if Arsenal get back in the Champions League this season before deciding, but in the background is Barça's interest in him. He wants to wait and see how far they are willing to go. 

According to '10sport.com', the African is liked by Barça, who have been seduced by his goalscoring ability as they look for competition for Luis Suarez.
