Aubameyang scored the winner as Barça progressed to the last eight of the Europa League

Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the winner against Galatasaray on Thursday but highlighted Pedri's equaliser as the key to the win.

On the comeback, which booked Barça's place in the quarterfinal of the Europa League, Aubameyang said: "It's good. It means we have the right mentality. Pedri's goal was great for us mentally ahead of the second half."

Aubameyang continued: "It was a difficult game. Galatasaray defended very well. In the first half, we lost a lot of easy balls. In the second half, we were better. In the end, we won, and that's what's most important."

He added that Pedri's individual effort "was a golazo. It's incredible he can't remember it! Of course Messi could have scored it."

The Gabon striker, who has now scored seven Barça goals, continued: "I am working a lot and the important thing is I am happy. When you are, you're hungry to score goals and help the team however you can.

"We have to keep going like this. We can get to the final and win it, but we're just thinking of ourselves and how we should play. When we play with intensity, it gives us a big chance of winning games, like in the second half."
