The Barcelona forward would like his friend to remain his teammate

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang says he would like teammate Ousmane Dembele to stay at Barcelona but didn't reveal if he thinks that will happen or not.

Aubameyang and Dembele have been friends since they played together at Borussia Dortmund and have been reuinted at Camp Nou.

Dembele is out of contract in the summer and had not yet agreed an extension, but Aubameyang would like him to prolong his stay.

"We've spoken about it but it will be his decision," Aubameyang said of Dembele's future. "I would like him to stay for a year or two more. I am really happy playing with him."

Auba added: "He's good, since I have arrived he's training really well and doing well. He's setting up goals. I didn't have any doubts because I have known him for years. I provide the smiles because the most important thing is that he's happy!"

Aubameyang, who has scored six goals for Barça already, was speaking ahead of the game against Galatasaray in the Europa League. The first leg ended 0-0 to Barça have to win in Istanbul on Thursday.

"We're thinking about ourselves and how we're going to play. The key is to play with more rhythm and intensity to try and surprise them at the back," he said.

The striker said he's ready "to play in a stadium with a special atmosphere" and that Barça know what is awaiting them in Istanbul.

In addition, he said he is most comfortable through the middle at Barça but preferred it on the left at Arsenal. "It depends how the team plays."
