The striker has lost his place to Lewandowski but is happy to stay at Camp Nou

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seems set to stay at Barcelona. Xavi Hernandez does not want him to go and the player is not too keen on a return to the Premier League despite Chelsea's generous offer.

According to The Mirror, the player has told Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel that he's grateful for the interest but his priority is to remain at Camp Nou, where he's convinced he will get plenty of minutes.

Chelsea want a striker after letting Romelu Lukaku join Inter Milan. Cristiano Ronaldo was one option but Manchester United want him to stay, so Aubameyang's name emerged as an alternative.

Tuchel wants an experienced forward for his frontline.

Aubameyang has a good contract at Barça which means he is in no rush to leave. His salary has increased this season after he took a slight cut to force the move through in January.

In addition, Xavi has faith in him even though he won't be a regular starter, while he and his family are happy in the Catalan city.
