The Dutch forward is not in favour at Camp Nou and could fill the Joao Felix gap

There’s movement over Memphis Depay’s future. The Barcelona forward is an option for Atletico Madrid to replace Joao Felix, who is heading to Chelsea on loan, per Cadena SER.

They want to loan him for six months, something Barcelona won’t accept despite the good business relationship between both sides.

Atletico are looking for a low cost forward for the short term. They will loan out Felix and want someone on the same terms incoming. The coaches think that Memphis could fit what they need. He wants to leave Barca because he’s not getting minutes, he’s adapted to the Spanish league and Atletico could later give him a new deal if he succeeds there.

The clubs spoke on Sunday when they clashed at the Metropolitano. There is a good relationship between Mateu Alemany and Gil Marin. However Barcelona don’t want to lose firepower without getting money in exchange. Memphis knows he can go if a loaning club wants to pay his wages and a fee.

If Atletico stump up something then he can go there, if not then Man United and Newcastle in England are also watching with interest.
