Barcelona were fined €300 for approaching Griezmann before talking to Atletico

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo appeared on ‘El Larguero’ on Cadena Ser on Thursday to talk about the 300 euro fine imposed on Barcelona for the signing of Antoine Griezmann.

The Atletico chief, in an ironic tone, said that "I see you're very worried about this issue (Griezmann). I was listening to you in the car. How are you going to argue over 300 euros? You pay it and that's it."

In a more serious tone, Cerezo declared that "'we have it all very clear. We've left it in the hands of our legal team. I don't know if they have proof or not, but if they're working on it, it will be because they have something."

And he added: "If tomorrow you have two drinks and drive and the police stop you, it's 300 euros. It's the same. But I don't get involved in these things, that's what the lawyers are for. We have no problem with Griezmann."

Finally, on this weekend's Madrid derby against Real Madrid, he said: "Now we have two problems: the referee and VAR. I would prefer the derby without VAR. VAR doesn't solve anything for me, you lose the rhythm."
