Arturo Vidal has given his first interview to the club and will be presented later today as a Barça player

The Chilean midfielder, Arturo Vidal, has begun his first week as a Barcelona player. Whilst he was waiting to undergo his medical and official presentation, Vidal gave his first interview to Barça's social media channels. He couldn't hide his desire to not only join a club as big as Barcelona but also his will to win as many trophies as possible.

Vidal, who is Barça's fourth signing this summer, said he was "very happy" and it was "a dream" to join the club. "I can't wait to start training alongside my teammates, to put on this great shirt and create important moments."

The midfielder, a star in his home country, admitted: "I want to win everything, to achieve our objectives. I've come here to win every title available and I'll leave all that I've got out on the pitch in order to do that." In regards to who he will be sharing a dressing room with this season, Vidal said: "I can't wait to play alongside Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets. They're all great players."

"I hope I can offer fight, a lot of heart, both in attack and defence to show why they've signed me. I'm very happy and I want to help the team, win everything and take advantage of this huge opportunity," concluded Vidal.
