Arthur-Lenglet: the photograph of the day as Barcelona train
The club's two new signings posed together for the first time
Clement Lenglet and Arthur Melo are now training under the orders of Ernesto Valverde. The French defender and Brazilian midfielder are the two signings that Barcelona have made so far this summer and on Saturday trained together for the first time.
Valverde is currently working with a reduced group of players due to the World Cup. However, the incorporation of the two signings is a plus, with Arthur and Lenglet both posing together at the club's training ground.
It was Arthur's second session but it was Lenglet's first (in fact, Saturday was a double session) in Barcelona colours since he joined from Sevilla. He had previously trained with his former club at a training camp in Benidorm but will now compete for a starting spot at Camp Nou with Pique and Umtiti.
Arthur, meanwhile, will also have tough competition for a place in the team, given the demands and excellence placed on Barça's midfield. With the departures of Paulinho and Iniesta, though, there is room for someone to come in and win their place in the team.
A new era has begun.
