The midfielder said he had more freedom with Brazil but explained what he meant

A storm in a tea-cup. There was some controversy when Arthur Melo said he had more freedom with Brazil than under Ernesto Valverde at Barcelona.

But the midfielder has explained what he meant.

“Brazil and Barcelona have two different styles at the moment, they are two different teams with different tactics,” he said.

“And I am adapting to both systems and can play in one or the other without any problem.

“The biggest difference is that at Barcelona I start to participate in the construction of play higher up, behind the first line of the opponent, I have to get the ball more between ones and arrive in attack, with Brazil I start further back.

“There’s not one way that’s right and the other wrong. I didn’t say that at Barcelona I don’t feel good and what I do with my club is wrong.”
