Arthur and Rakitic: Two men and just one position
The Brazilian and the Croatian are fighting it out for a spot in the team
Sergi Roberto and Frenkie De Jong being out injured means Quique Setien has one main choice to make in midfield. Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal seem likely for two of the three spots and the third will either go to Arthur or Ivan Rakitic.
Both Arthur and Rakitic were subs against Mallorca and started against Leganes. Arthur went off after 73 minutes, Rakitic played the whole game.
If Setien goes for the Brazilian, Barca will take control and manage the game, given his penchant for possession. Rakitic offers battle in midfield and more goal threat in the box.
One other alternative is Riqui Puig but the Catalan is unlikely to be given the nod from the off.
Arthur has played 1454 minutes this season, Rakitic 1534.
