The Dutch federation has made first contact with the ex Arsenal gaffer

Once Ronald Koeman leaving to join Barcelona is signed and sealed, the Dutch federation will need to find a replacement. That process has begun, with Frenchman Arsene Wenger the name on the table. Per various sources, they are negotiating.

Wenger, former Arsenal boss, has been working for FIFA as a world football development director. He coached Arsenal for 22 years before leaving in 2018. Now he's open to a frontline return. The Dutch national team is his chance to coach a side at Euro 2021.

The 70 year old said: "All days I want to train, I've been doing it my whole live." Now the KNVB might give him a chance.

Frank de Boer, Peter Bosz, Mark van Bommel and Henk ten Cate are other names linked to the job.
