Arda Turan returns to the Turkey squad for Kosovo qualifier

Arda Turan is back in the Turkey squad after being left out of the squad since the European Championships by Fatih Terim. The Barcelona star had not featured in any of his country’s qualifiers for the World Cup in Russia in 2018, but the poor start they have made has seen them turn to Arda again.
Turkey are fourth in their group with just two points. Croatia and Iceland lead the way with seven points, followed by Ukrained with five. Below Turkey are Finland and Kosovo, who both have one point. The upcoming international break is a vital one for Terim’s team’s hopes, therefore.
Arda’s absence in recent games was cause for great debate in Turkey, with speculation about his relationship with the national team manager gripping the country. However, Arda is now back in the squad for the game against Kosovo.
