Arda Guler wants a Haaland-esque commission to sign
Barça are still very interested in signing Arda Guler from Fenerbahce, who is said to have the full sporting OK from all the coaches. The Blaugrana have launched a bid for the Turkish player despite the competition and hopes to have the chance to sign him. The operation is complicated because, according to journalist Matteo Moretto, the player's entourage is demanding a signing bonus or commission of around 20 million euros as happened when Erling Haaland signed for Borussia Dortmund.
Guler's success with Fenerbahce and the Turkish national team has been brutal. There is no longer any doubt that he is a player who will become a star in the future and his style of play is very appealing due to his technical superiority. He can play in several attacking positions, he has a great range of play, a great final ball and great goal scoring ability. A player who is sure to be talked about and a signing that could be strategic for any club that signs him.
The signing would cost 17 million euros, his buy-out clause, but the difficulty is centred on what the player would demand in salary and the commission from his entourage. A few years ago, Dortmund gambled with Haaland and it worked out well despite paying an exorbitant fee. Now there are clubs that are thinking about it with Guler. Barça are clear that it is worth making an effort but without doing anything crazy and there are other clubs in the running, such as Milan and Newcastle.
