The Barça defender spoke to Movistar after the Real Sociedad win

Ronald Araujo was once again one of the outstanding players in the match between FC Barcelona and Real Sociedad (1-0) in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey. The Uruguayan played the full 90 minutes and, after the match, expressed his satisfaction at advancing to the semifinals.

"The game was tough, as we expected, but I'm happy because we're in the semifinals of the cup, which is what we wanted," said Araujo.

He added that "the first half was good, we had a presence up front, but later, when they were left with one man less, they closed up and we didn't have as many spaces."

Araujo acknowledged that "it was difficult for us" and that the team ended up suffering because "they were tight at the back and they had pace, but we were on guard and Ter Stegen helped us, as always".

The Uruguayan could not hide his satisfaction with the classification: "We won another game at home, we are on a good run".

And on match-winner Dembélé, he commented that "he destabilises defences, he helps us with goals and he makes very good decisions. The fans also helped us tonight."

Finally, Araujo commented that, once again, the team "did not close the game" and that, for this reason, "the coach will give us a slap on the wrist. It is a mistake that we have to correct. Now to think about the match against Girona."
