Antoine Griezmann, this time, finally?
The Frenchman has not shone at Barca but is in good form
Antoine Griezmann is back at Barcelona and his morale is high. The international break helped him find his best form and now he wants to continue at this level for Barca, a level he has not reached since 2019, when he arrived.
With France he got two goals and an assist in three games. He likes Deschamps’ system and that was one of the justifications as to why he was not playing as well for his club. With Koeman’s shift to three centre backs, Griezmann has found his goalscoring touch again.
Before the break he netted against Huesca and Real Sociedad. He’s enjoying his new role, with freedom and able to occupy areas on the pitch that allow him to be dangerous.
Barca hope Griezmann has finally taken a step forward and can become the star that they signed from Atletico Madrid. With the Copa del Rey final coming up and the run-in tight and tense, now’s the time for it.
