Antoine Griezmann did not want to get involved in the controversy over Lionel Messi’s leaked contract. “We enjoy Messi, he is a legend, and we hope to keep enjoying him for a long time, because he’s a legend,” said the French forward.
Both Griezmann and Messi scored against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday night to take Barca second.
“I’m enjoying my game and playing with my team-mates. Goals come with work and I have to keep doing it, because I can give more,” added the striker.
He celebrated with Martin Braithwaite, who was on the bench in this game. “We need everyone, because the season is very long. We’re a team, sometimes you play, or you don’t, but we have a great team that can win things.”
