The French striker spoke about what he is being asked to do after Messi's departure

Barcelona had a tough match on Saturday night against Athletic Bilbao, finishing in a 1-1 draw. Antoine Griezmann thought the team struggled.

“I don’t think we had a great game, it was hard from the start, they pressed well, they are things we have to improve and keep working on. It’s a point, we’ll take it and think about Getafe (next weekend).”

Asked what Ronald Koeman wanted from him in Lionel Messi’s absence, Griezmann said: “He wants that I take more protagonism, but for me nothing will change, I try to help the team in attack or defence. Where I’m put, I’ll work.”

He also praised strike partner Memphis Depay. “He’s a great player, it’s good to have someone like that up front.”
