The forward is nearing a return to action after three months on the sidelines

Ansu Fati's spoken about his recovery at the presentation of the book 'Relatos Solidarios del Deporte' on Tuesday.

The Barcelona forward said he is in the final phase now and hopes to be back playing soon. The sensations, he added, are very good and he is desperate to return.

"I can't wait because the team has improved a lot," he said. "The team is playing really well. I hope to be back soon with them."

Asked about that improvement, he singled out the role of coach Xavi: "The change of manager has been good for us, the players have a different mentality to work more and you can see that in the results."

January signings Ferran Torres and Aubameyang have been among the goals in recent weeks, while Ousmane Dembele's impressing on the right, but Ansu is not worried about competition.

"We're Barça and the best players always come here," he added. "I am calm, it depends on the coach, I can help the team."

On choosing conservative treatment over surgery, he said: "It was a tough moment but (the decision was taken) with a cool head because the club were with me. I am grateful, they helped me throughout and I was relaxed about it all."
