Ansu Fati's back! Forward returns as second half sub vs. Mallorca

The Barcelona No.10 was given a rousing reception by the Camp Nou crowd

There has not been much positive news at Barcelona over the last two weeks, but now there is: Ansu Fati is back again.

Ansu had not played in LaLiga since November 2021, when he scored in the 3-3 draw with Celta Vigo, prior to Xavi Hernandez's arrival, before getting injured.

On Sunday, via a brief return in January in cup competitions, he came on as a substitute in the 74th minute of the 2-1 win over Mallorca at Camp Nou.

The loudest roar of the night came when he began to warm up in the 65th minute and just nine minutes later he was brought on as the central striker, replacing Aubameyang to a rousing reception.

Ansu has had a tough time with injuries. He returned in September after 10 months out but was then injured again in November, returning in January in the Supercopa and the Copa del Rey before getting injured again.

He has now made 11 appearances this season, scoring five goals.
