The Barcelona forward is closing in on a return to full training after treatment

Ansu Fati is getting closer to a comeback. The Barcelona forward has been in Madrid working on his fitness in the last few weeks, but was at the training ground on Monday for tests.

Barça want to know how close he is to returning to full training. If the results are positive, he will be allowed to return to grass work as soon as this week.

It is worth remembering that it has been a difficult 18 months for Ansu on the injury front. When he seemed recovered from one injury, he was ruled out for another few months -- the injuries were unrelated.

Ansu opted to have conservative treatment rather than surgery this time and he has been working with Joaquin Juan in Madrid, a physio who also worked with Rafa Nadal and Cristiano Ronaldo in the past.

The Spain attacker is happy with how he has processed in this time and has also worked on strengthening his body elsewhere. He looks much stronger now.
