Ansu Fati and Barca close in on final decision on his future

Barça are preparing for the last few days of the summer transfer window. The Blaugrana will sign Joao Cancelo in a matter of days and, from there, the objective is to register all available players while waiting to be able to seal the arrival of another player to help in attack. Ansu's agent, Jorge Mendes, will land in Barcelona this week once the transfer of Joao Cancelo is completed. There is already a pre-agreement between the clubs and the final details are being ironed out. Mendes is aware that there are two English clubs very interested in signing Ansu, but he is not going to force the situation and it will be the player himself who will decide. So far, Ansu has been tight-lipped about a possible departure, although he is beginning to realise that his role in the team will be absolutely secondary this season. If a top level club would give him a role in their team, maybe he could think about it.

Barça do not hide the fact that the situation is still very tricky, but that anything can happen. Ansu has a long contract with the club and Barça considers him a very important asset, but they are also very clear that he must play because if he continues like this his value will be devalued. There are different options for managing his future and a last-minute loan move would not be ruled out, but everything depends on the player showing an interest in leaving, as he knows that Barça will not put obstacles in his way.

In any case, Barça have warned Jorge Mendes that if Joao Félix wants to come, the only possible way is through the departure of a striker and everything points to Ansu.
