Iglesias Villanueva was ready to book Rodrigo for putting on an orange wig after his goal but didn't

Later he was issued a yellow card for a foul on Paulinho which should have been his second

Ignacio Iglesias Villanueva, the Galician referee in charge of Barcelona's 1-1 draw at Valencia, not only did not give Lionel Messi's goal which was over the line, but also did not send Rodrigo off.

After he scored Valencia's opener, Rodrigo celebrated with an orange wig to pay tribute to late Valencia president Jaume Orti - which by the letter of the law should have been punished with a yellow card. The referee had the yellow card in his hand to give it to him but in the end decided not to.

An action which had consequences, when a few minutes later Rodrigo fouled Paulinho and was booked. It could have been a red card.
