The Spaniard is doing well in Japan with Vissel Kobe

Andres Iniesta is coming to the end of the season with Vissel Kobe. Joan Laporta did not rule out a return to Barcelona but his plans right now are about finishing the year with success in Japan.

They are third in the J-League with three games to go. Kobe will try and keep their place to reach the Asian Champions League next season.

The second team, Yokohama Marinos will go directly to the Champions League and are six points ahead of Kobe. They need to stay ahead of the teams in fourth and fifth, Kashima Antlers and Nagoya Grampus, who are five points behind.

Iniesta will come back to Barcelona for holidays from December 4, after the last game in Japan. He will head back there in January to start the new season. His deal goes until 2023 so he has two more season there.

Iniesta is 37 and a year younger than Dani Alves. He is enjoying his time in Japan and could even play until 40, with his fitness still OK and his quality always shining.
