Andreas Christensen out with ankle sprain as Barca defence diminishes
The Catalans will be without the Danish defender for the weekend and maybe beyond
Barcelona reported that Andreas Christensen has suffered a sprained ankle, meaning he joins Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde and others on the sidelines.
“Tests carried out on Wednesday have confirmed that the first team player Andreas Christensen has a sprained left ankle. He is unavailable and his recovery will dictate his return,” read Barca’s statement.
The Danish defender is set to miss the game against Celta Vigo on Sunday and potentially the Inter Milan visit to Camp Nou and even the Clasico.
Barca have just Eric Garcia and Gerard Pique fit at centre back.
