Andre Gomes blasted by Barcelona fans after Leganes showing

Andre Gomes is in the firing line for Barcelona fans. The player, questioned through the season, was singled out in Paris and again against Leganes on Sunday. Substituted for Denis Suarez, the stadium almost unanimously whistled and booed him off the pitch. The divorce between the fans and the player is total.

The Portuguese forward cost Barcelona 30m, plus 20m more in variables. He was a star signing and demanded by the coach, Luis Enrique. In fact the Asturian has often backed Gomes over Ivan Rakitic. The player has not fitted in at the club yet and the president, Josep Bartomeu, has asked for patience. 

Andre Gomes is a pure central midfield and he is getting accustomed to playing in front of the defence at Barcelona, or as an interior.
