The first round in America for Barça, with the internationals returning to the line-up...alongside Lewy?

The entire squad, except for Pjanic, will be available; however, Xavi will not make it, and questions hang over the debut of Lewandowski.

After just five training sessions in the heart of Florida, FC Barcelona will kick start their American tour, tomorrow at 2h CEST. It will be at the DRV PNK Stadium, a coquettish ground of just 20,000 spectators, that is expected to be filled.

Xavi's men are up against Inter Miami who will be playing their second match of the preseason, and are expected to arrive in slightly better shape. The Beckham-owned club's star player Gonzalo Higuain, who after playing against Barça for years in the Madrid colours, will now do it again on the other end of the Atlantic. Coached by Phil Neville, a former United and Everton player, the American team are set to play "the most important game in the club's history", as per the words of the English coach himself. That might sound a bit far-fetched, but it stands to reason given that the club is only four years old.

Coming back to the FC Barcelona camp, there are many points of interest to take into account, chief among which, as usual, are their star players. Gavi, Busquets, Frenkie de Jong, Memphis, Jordi Alba, Eric Garcia, Araujo, Ferran Torres and Dembélé. All of them joined a week later than the rest, and might be playing their first minutes of the preseason in the upcoming contest. There is still a lot left to do for the team to work out and get in shape over the next four matches of the tour.

MARC CASADÓ REWARDED

Xavi Hernandez, who is still sorting his visa out, has called up Balde, Abde, Arnau Tenas and Marc Casadó from the reserve team to add to his team's ranks. Casadó in particular has just finished his youth stage and has been one of the surprises of the call-up, after impressing with his game and mindset for the defensive role.

DEBUT FOR LEWY?

And finally, and perhaps most importantly, is the matter of Lewandowski. Will we see the first minutes of the Pole in the Barça shirt in the upcoming game? At present, it seems almost impossible. He will have barely completed one session of training with his new teammates and will not even have met Xavi, since the coach will not be present for the match. But he is a competitive person and is in good shape and touch, not to mention the marketing value he brings. In any case, even if he does play, it is unlikely to be for more than a few symbolic minutes.
