All FC Barcelona's players who have been injured on international duty

French defender Samuel Umtiti is the latest to go down stricken but there have been many others this season too

Clubs' fears over the FIFA Virus are not unfounded. In the case of FC Barcelona, the three international breaks have been especially problematic.

On Thursday French centre-back Samuel Umtiti became the latest victim. He will be out for three weeks with a hamstring problem and is the seventh Barcelona player to get injured while on international duty this season.

Here's the run-down:

Jasper Cillessen: In October he injured his right ankle in a Holland training session and was out for three weeks.

Sergi Roberto: Was injured in Spain training during the second international break. The player could not feature for his country and returned to the club with an adductor problem, missing two gaems against Depor and City. Out for two weeks.

Samuel Umtiti: This is the Frenchman's second injury of the season, the first was with Barcelona and he missed four games. This time he left the France squad with the training injury and is out for three weeks.

Jordi Alba: This is especially worrying because he was injured for the first time in the second international break and then recovered, before re-sustaining the injury. His hamstring problem has forced him out for around four weeks in total.

Andre Gomes: He was injured during Portugal 5-0 Gibraltar, in the first international break. The player came on in the second half and had to be subsittuted a little later for a problem with his right leg. Luckily it was not too serious and he did not miss any games.

Leo Messi: The Argentine traveled to his country in October despite pubis pain. Bauza did not listen to the club's recommendations and played him against Uruguay, where he felt even more pain and had to return to Barcelona. Luckily didn't miss a game.

Neymar: The Brazilian was attacked by Yasmani Duk and suffered a cut to his head, coming back to Barcelona but was able to play in the next game.
