Alex Song is no closer to Barcelona exit door

Alex Song's future, as well as those of Pedro, Adama Traore and Alen Halilovic, are problems for Barcelona's board to resolve before the transfer window closes.

Barça have not received any offers for the Cameroon central midfielder, who could continue at West Ham, where he has improved on loan during last season, but nothing is certain. The English club are currently not interested in Song, or a loan deal.

The task for new secretary Robert Fernandez, will be to find somewhere for the player as soon as possible, as well as cutting losses on the 18 million euros that Barça spent to bring the midfielder in from Arsenal. Song has a contract until 2017 with Barcelona.

Once Song, Adama and Halilovic have been moved on, the Blaugrana squad will be closed for business. If Pedro leaves the club, Barça will not be able to make a new signing until January. Their possible targets are Celta Vigo's Nolito and Monaco's Abdennour.
