Aleix Vidal: If I took notice of everything maybe I'd have committed suicide

The right-back has not entertained the reports in the press about his tough time at Barça

Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal stood out in the win against Borussia Monchengladbach. After being ostracised from the first team for nearly three months there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel and he was praised by his manager, Luis Enrique.

The right-back spoke in the mixed zone after the game, but he also spoke to beIN. Talking to the channel, he confessed how tough recent months have been. The Catalan also expressed his desire to continue at the club.

"I have had a bad time, it's impossible to have a good time when you see that your work isn't rewarded. I don't know if I've experienced worse situations thant this, but there have been some similar moments and I've always managed to turn it around," Vidal said, not hiding the fact it's been difficult.

However, his words were even stronger when asked about all the reports on his future at the club. "If I had taken notice of everything that's been said in the last three months, maybe I'd have committed suicide. I've been taking stick from all over the place, but a cool head makes you prepared for everything."

And his future plans remain at Barcelona. "It would be stupid to want to leave this team," he said and he denied that he has a bad relationship with his manager: "Sometime the press make things more difficult than they are. If there's a manager with whom you can change things, it's Luis Enrique."
