Alarm bells ring at Barcelona as Kounde forced off injured at Granada

The Barça defender could not end the first half, Araujo replacing him

Barcelona's luck is out at the moment when it comes to injuries. In addition to the many fitness problems Xavi is having this season, Jules Koundé was unable to finish the first half at Granada. The centre-back asked to come off two minutes before half-time.

Kounde suffered a collision with teammate Gavi, who fell on top of him, causing a bruised left leg. The feeling is that it could be a knee issue, although a scan is still pending. The player touched his calf, although it was impossible to pinpoint the exact problem. We will have to wait for further information from Barça about the Frenchman's injury.

Koundé tried to stay on the pitch and finish the first half, but he was forced to lie down on the ground and asked to be substituted, so Ronald Araujo came in for him. The defender thus joins De Jong, Pedri, Lewandowski and Raphinha on the list. The international break will be a good time for Barça to recover or make progress on the recovery of their players.
