The coach is set to leave Qatar and return to Barcelona in the coming days

Xavi Hernández took charge of his last game as Al Sadd coach on Wednesday. His team could not give him a win to see him off as the league leaders were held to a 3-3 draw by Al-Duhail in the Qatar Stars League, but the players showed how proud they are to have spent several seasons with the Catalan coach.

The Al Sadd players, who aren't removed from what is going on around them, wanted to celebrate the first goal of the game with Xavi. The gesture was symbolic and proof that they were aware they were living their final moments together. After the game, the player Abdelkarim Hassan admitted he was sad that Xavi was leaving.

Minutes after those comments, various Al Sadd players shared images on Instagram with Xavi. In one of them, Rodrigo Tabata wrote 'Thanks Xavi.' Another player, Bounjah, one of Al Sadd's best players, also shared an image hugging Xavi after his goal.
