Luis Suárez will be back to his best for the Copa America. That is what the striker told the media as he arrived in Uruguay ahead of the tournament.

"These three weeks have been tantastic for me to clear my mind. It helped me forget the complicated end to the season with my club. The rest has been fantastic on a personal level to recover my fitness and the problems I've had with my cartilage," he confirmed.

Suarez explained the surgery was necessary to put an end to the problems he's had with his knee. "One always tries to remain strong in that regard. The people at Barcelona have done a great job."

He also spoke about his country's hopes of winning the Copa America. "Uruguay should look to be winning the Copa America because we've won it more than anybody else. I, like my teammates, want to give our best. We are a team that will give everything for each ball."
