AC Milan want to negotiate a Sergiño Dest discount with Barcelona
The United States right-back is on loan at the Serie A side
Sergiño Dest will not play for Barcelona again because he is definitively not part of the club's plans. Another issue is where his final destination will be. AC Milan, where he is on loan, don't want to pay the €20 million purchase option and will ask Barça for a reduction, as reported by 'La Gazzetta dello Sport'.
Dest has had an irregular season in Italy, although Milan do not doubt his quality and projection. In fact, he played well at the World Cup, but the Italians consider his valuation is too high and would be in favour of another loan or a substantial reduction to the transfer fee, something that is not contemplated at Barça.
Dest could have other important offers this summer. Roma have already asked several times about him and in the Premier League there are two teams following his situation.
What Barça are very clear about is that this must be the definitive summer to transfer the player and they do not want discounts of any kind. There are not many good right-backs on the market and they want to recover the money invested in Dest, so they are going to try to get €20m.
