Barça could have made more money elsewhere but the player wanted Betis switch

The final hours of the last day of the market were more tense than it seemed, especially for Ez Abde, who swapped Barcelona for Real Betis.

Abde was confined to a hotel for the whole day, unravelling the daisy of his destiny. It was clear to him that he wanted to leave and he wanted to play -- and he had several offers on the table.

Osasuna had very good memories of the Moroccan international from his loan spell there last season and bet heavily on him, but the player preferred Betis.

The Pamplona side would have paid Barcelona a little more than Betis, who were at the limit of their fair play and had to resort to the personal guarantee of the president and a vice-president to be able to sign Abde. His salary is around three and a half million per season.

Abde also ruled out offers from England because he thought he was too young to make the leap to the Premier League. He has very clear ideas.
