According to some reports the France star will not move to Barcelona

Antoine Griezmann will not be budging from Madrid, according to ABC on Monday. The France forward, currently with the national team preparing for the World Cup in Russia, has not told Atletico, but he has told those close to him that he will stay where he is, ruling out a move to Barcelona.

ABC claim that Griezmann has told people he will not pay his 100 million euros release clause to push through a transfer to Camp Nou. The forward will see his contract improved at Atletico, becoming one of the highest paid players in Europe, although money was not the only factor in the end.

Griezmann has a great relationship with Atletico coach Diego Simeone and wants to remain part of his project. The recent Europa League win helped him decide to stay.

Always according to ABC's claims, it will cost Atletico to keep hold of Griezmann. The player will earn around 20 million euros per season from now on if he remains in the Spanish capital. That's more than six million euros more than he earned this past season.
