A legend from Brazil's 1970 side does not rate Barça's Neymar
The Brazilian is in fine form for the Blaugrana and excelled in PSG comeback
He missed the defeat against Depor with an injury but will play vs. Valencia
Barcelona star Neymar Junior is the leader of the current Brazil side but one former Canarinha says he wouldn't even get in the 1970 World cup winning side.
Gérson de Oliveira Nunes, 70, even suggested that there wouldn't be a place for Neymar on the bench in that incredible side which captured the imagination of the football world.
"There wouldn't be a space for Neymar," Gerson told Fox. "In whose place would he play? He can't take Rivellino's spot. Nor Pelé's. Would he come in for Tostao? For Jairzinho? There wouldn't even be room in midfield for him."
Perhaps what was a slight exaggeration from Gerson, though, who played for Flamego, was that Neymar may not even have been on the bench for Mario 'Lobo' Zagallo's side.
"We had Caju, an enormous talent," he added. "As a No.10 and in midfield he played a lot. He was pure talent. He was brilliant wherever you put him -- and he was a substitute. So I don't even know if Neymar would have a place on the bench in that team."
