Problems affected Barcelona and the media in Jeddah
In under 24 hours the Spanish Super Cup has endured three identical situations that have put the tournament organisers under pressure because of traffic situations. The first two affected media but the third was suffered by Barcelona duo Ernesto Valverde and Sergio Busquets.
They were supposed to speak to the media at the Al Itihhad training installations. However their driver got lost and they arrived an hour after leaving the hotel, without time for the press conference because training was about to start. It is expected that later the coach will speak to the media.
There is now organisational chaos because the plan was for the media to go to the Madrid v Valencia game tonight in the King Abdullah stadium.
The media on Tuesday were taken to the stadium instead of to the training ground, wasting an hour. Then other media were taken to the Radisson Blu hotel but it was the wrong one. A 20 minute trip ending up taking 1 hour 10.
