The Barca coach will have a lot of attention on him on Saturday

On Saturday Ernesto Valverde will speak to the media. It will not be a normal press conference, with nobody caring about the Getafe game, and everybody wondering about the coach’s future following the Liverpool defeat.

Here are 10 questions that SPORT would ask the Barcelona coach….

1. Do you think you can continue next season?

Valverde has a contract for next season but does he believe he should continue, can he motivate his players to win, finally, the Champions League?

2. Do you understand why the board is deciding whether to keep you or not?

Part of the board doesn’t want Valverde to stay and they are mulling over his future.

3. Does the team need a lot of changes?

De Jong is signed, De Ligt should be on the way. The average age is around 30 years and is two changes enough?

5. What did the players lack at Anfield?

7. How do you think the fans will react Sunday?

8. Would Suarez be operated on if Barca were in the UCL final?

The news came as a surprise but if Barca were in the final at the Wanda it seems unlikely Suarez would have taken the operation.

9. What do you think about Rakitic going to the Seville festival?

Valverde gave his players two days off and Rakitic was pictured enjoying himself hours ate the humiliating defeat.

10. Would winning the double make this a good season?

Historically Barca aren’t used to winning the domestic double - they’ve done it just eight times - but wit the Champions League as the main target, it doesn’t seem so great…
