The Dutch striker had been mentioned as a possible pawn in a Morata deal

There have been complications to Barcelona's move for Alvaro Morata. Despite an understanding between Barça and the striker, the Italian club are not keen to let the player leave without having a replacement.

That's what has been explained by legendary agent Giovanni Branchini, who has represented the likes of Romario, Ronaldo Nazario, Seedorf and Rui Costa. Interviewed by "La Gazzetta dello sport", Branchini has said a Barça deal for Morata will be tough.

"As I understand it, Alvaro will stay at Juventus," he said. "Memphis Depay doesn't interest neither Juve nor Atletico Madrid and Morata has taken note of that.

"The relationship Morata-Juve is still intact. He wanted to find a stable home outside of Madrid, but it's also true Juve won't let him leave without a substitute."

The deal was complicated already due to the number of parties implicated in the deal. Morata is only on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid, who would also have to green light any agreement.
