A controversial second-half penalty from Sergio Ramos and a late strike from Luka Modric condemned Barcelona to a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in Saturday's Camp Nou Clasico.
Federico Valverde had earlier opened the scoring before Ansu Fati's fifth goal of the season drew Barça level. Here are the Barça player ratings:
Made a number of good saves from Benzema, Kroos (double save!) and Ramos. Couldn't do much about the first two goals but erred slightly in the third.
Sergiño Dest 6
Started on the right in place of Sergi Roberto. Got up and down, winning the battle against Vinicius.
Gerard Pique 6
Left his position for the Valverde goal by tracking Benzema. Made up for his error and little by little took charge in defence.
Clement Lenglet 5
Fought with Ramos at every corner and ended up giving a penalty away. Ramos dived, mind, but the referee gave the spot kick. That's La Liga. That's how Madrid rob you.
Jordi Alba 8
A great outlet on the left. Set up the goal for Ansu Fati and created other good chances.
Sergio Busquets 5
Struggled to start moves and let Valverde ghost in for the first goal.
Frenkie de Jong 6
Tried but could not get nearly involved enough. Barça need more for him, even though it's true he gave his all. Too far from Busquets.
Played on the right, which takes a little away from his qualities. Needs space to shine. Despite that, didn't stop trying.
Lionel Messi 6
Casemiro chased him everywhere and should have given away a penalty (not given, how strange!). Missed a good chance when one on one with Courtois.
Philippe Coutinho 5
Stuck on the left we saw the old Coutinho, generating doubts. He needs to feel important and he needs to have space. Missed a great headed chance.
Ansu Fati 8
Played through the middle and made good runs all afternoon, one of which led to his goal. Although it doesn't matter where he plays because he always does damage.
Trincao 5, Griezmann 5, Dembele 5, Braithwaite NR
